The GCE high-voltage BMS master control box is a battery management system developed specifically for large-scale high-voltage battery energy storage systems and UPS applications. It is designed with a distributed architecture and a modular concept, which allows for immense configurability, and it is relatively simple to assemble, debug, and maintain. The device is well suited for reaping the benefits of DC battery energy storage systems that function at voltages lower than one thousand volts.
The Advanced Battery Management System is an integrated monitoring system for seamless monitoring. Its features includes perfect self-test and operational status detection with HMI display for system operation information at a glance. In addition, it also has perfect and reliable system control and protection strategies to extensively safeguard battery safety and extend battery life.
Modular design and flexible configuration makes the system scalable. Multiple energy storage unit combination can be used to increase the storage system up to 272 (lead-carbon battery 400) battery series.
A variety of communication interface is supported. These include RS485, CAN, Ethernet, dry contact input and output interfaces for easy communication between the battery management system and the monitoring server and PCS. The system offers it own communication protocol, but it can also be customized to meet customer needs and different PCS manufacturers.
The large internal memory chip can store vast amount of key operational data and optional SD card is available for offline access. Furthermore, two versions of the system is available. The circuit breaker version is for the PCS with protocol control and the contactor + breaker version is for PCS without protocol control. Automatic circulation control and automatic parallel machine as well as offline control are available (Model suffix selection D) for easy parallel battery configuration.
